Eduardo Labraga Curbelo was born on July 8, 1950 in Uruguay, a few days before the victory of the Uruguayan soccer team in the famous Soccer World Cup final disputed against Brazil at Maracaná stadium.

Discovering leather as a raw material was crucial for his artistic craft explorations, achieving unique works, using different self-instructed and innovative techniques.

His work has transcended borders reaching places as different and distant as Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, The United States, Canada, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Japan and England, among others.
